Memoir / Humor
Date PublishedJanuary 14, 2014

When newly-single party girl Vicki moved to Paris, she was hoping to indulge in wine, stuff her face with croissants, and fall in love. It proved to be much moredifficile than she'd imagined. In this laugh-out-loud memoir, this cheeky storyteller recounts the highs and lows of her life in the City of Light. Sassy and shamefully honest, Vicki makes you feel as if you're right there in Paris stumbling along the cobblestones with her.

Will she find love? Will she learn to consume reasonable amounts of alcohol? Will the French administration ever cut her a break?

Review
Who hasn't had a plan that didn't go nearly the way they wanted it to? That is what this reminded me of. Vicki had a plan and thought her life was going to go one way, but then life throws a curveball or more than one actually and things don't turn out exactly like she dreamed. But such is life. This novel was about rolling with the punches. Overcoming the obstacles and making life yours in spite of the troubles. I loved the humor in this novel. It was very witty and very fun to read. You forget that you are reading a memoir, you become invested in Vicki and her life.
