When Tami Urbanek began working with the public as a medium, she never envisioned how her path would change. Moving beyond working with people's spirit guides, deceased children began arriving to share their own shocking experiences. These children revealed the horrific torture and government scientific experiments that ultimately led to their death. With a heavy heart, Tami listened to their stories and helped them to feel loved and safe in order to cross over to the other side. Tami, along with two other women, began traveling to different locations, within the United States, to assist deceased children who were caught in a cycle of pain. Little did they know they would eventually begin attracting the attention of extraterrestrials. It became obvious the ETs were also invested in the experiments and they would attempt to thwart the efforts of these three women. Silent Whispers will challenge readers' belief system and perhaps lead them to question the reality that surrounds them.

Review

I will not lie, this is a topic I don't know a lot about, but it does really intrigue me. I think that the story Tami Urbanek tells here is a very inspiring one. It has darker elements as you are dealing with serious situations, but there is a silver lining in the way she is able to help. This was a great read! Emotional and Powerful, she has such a great voice and I'm glad I got a chance to read about her experiences.

Lena Hubin is a straight-A college senior when she lands in a psych ward. After her release, psychotherapy, illicit drugs, and sex distract her from her chronic anxiety--but none yields lasting relief. Despite teaching abroad, marrying, earning a masters and adopting two children, she remains haunted by anxiety. In her fifties, Lena returns with her family to the U.S., anticipating peace of mind. But when her son struggles with alcoholism, she feels her sanity swirling down the drain like the liquor she would dump--if she could find it. In a quest to help him, the author starts a journey that will change her life for good.

Review

It takes no time at all for Lena Hubin to hook her reader with her words and her story in general.

I was invested from the get-go.  This novel is a great example of the struggles a person can go through and the ability to overcome your past and your struggles and move on and build something from it. It also goes to show you can't always do it alone. Often times people come into your life and help to straighten it out.

Lena Hubin's writing style is smooth and effortless. I felt like I was in her head and that is a huge testament to her writing ability. Powerful and Emotional and Inspiring.

Laurence Roch might be the worst vampire in Seattle. He adores peppermint mochas. He follows the Seahawks and Mariners religiously. He never wears black or sleeps in a coffin. However, coffin or not, a vampire needs a safe place to rest their head, or they will go insane.

After his mortal love died, Laurence found himself alone and without a home. With the booming tech industry, the city’s population keeps growing. The hunting is good, but the affordable real estate is hard to find.

Review

This isn't a crazy dark paranormal story, quite the opposite actually, which really managed to set it apart!

I enjoyed the characters and the growth they showed throughout the novel.

Overall pacing was great. I felt like it really kept pace the entire time and I never felt like it dragged

Review

This book is so superbly written!

I think the cover does a great job of setting the mood. This story will make you think, make you feel, and just touch you in a way you did not expect.

Wonderful characters, multi-dimensional and believable. A plot that's pacing is right on and captivating, there are just not enough good things to say about this book. GREAT NOVEL!
