North Carolina Simon hates her name. As a fourteen-year-old girl growing up in the 1970s, she has a lot of challenges. People not only make fun of her name, but also scoff at her eccentric family. Dad’s a hoarder, Mom’s an unpredictable artist, and her older sister lives with an autism diagnosis. After a humiliating middle school event shatters her confidence as a singer, North determines to break free from the stigma surrounding her family.

As she starts high school, North tells people to call her Carol. Armed with a new name, she updates her appearance, befriends a popular boy in hopes of joining his band, distances herself from her two longtime friends, and avoids being seen with her adoring and dependent sister. Everything seems to be going according to plan until her sister suddenly disappears. Carol is forced to face reality. Should she continue to focus all her time and energy on fitting in or should she surrender to God’s calling on her life?

Finding True North is a prequel to Sticks and Stones, but each can be read as stand-alone novels.

Did someone say dance like no one is watching? Guess that’s the only way Tyler CAN dance now. Slip into the pages of the fun and feisty second book in the Rocky Mountain Romances series.

Tyler Carter has everything she dreams of—she’s the starring ballerina in a Cirque-du-Soleil type show, a splashy Las Vegas lifestyle, and there’s nothing tying her down. Until she injures her knee, that is.

Tyler flees to her family in the little mountain town of Independence Junction, Colorado, and pretends she'll get better, until forced to realize the truth. And forced to confront her past when she smacks right into Patrick West, the architect restoring the historic Wilkinson house.

Their attraction quickly rekindles because of a one-night tryst they had the summer before—one neither of them wants to admit to!

But something else gets rekindled. A stalker sets their sights on Tyler and leaves shocking clues indicating they know exactly who Tyler is, and that they want her dead. Will Patrick, Tyler’s brother, and a retired police dog be able to keep Tyler safe?

The fascinating and quirky citizens of Independence Junction come back in Book 2 of The Rocky Mountain Romances series to show how small-town relationships can bring out the best and worst in people.

Heart-warming with a splash of Vegas glamour, Book 2 successfully combines a new-and-old mix of family and townsfolk in a pressure-cooker plot that never lets up on chuckles, suspense, and romance.

Review
I love small-town romances where we get to follow all of the characters and each get their own HEA.
The amount of absolute cute is too damn much and I am not complaining.
These two have such an awesome connection and their chemistry is fire.
I also love all of these characters and getting to know them more as we go. Truly wonderful!

Good dogs are obedient, loving, loyal, protective, and friendly. They honor their masters, bark only at the right times, and inspire us to be better through heroism, perseverance, and selflessness. Dogs have weak moments, too. They poop blue, jump out of car windows, and, at times, might be nicknamed the “Devil Dog.”Better Than Our Dogs uses funny and engaging stories to illustrate timeless lessons from the book of James. Each chapter offers practical advice, challenges readers to determine which dog they are most like, and encourages everyone to be better today. Better friends. Better people. Better followers of God.

About the Author

John J. Murray Jr. is the award-winning author of Better Than Our Dogs. He leads Bible study groups with members from across the country. After leaving private practice as an attorney, John won the League for Innovation in the Community College Excellence Award as the Paralegal Program Director and law instructor at Alvin Community College. Can you build a successful life by taking the less traveled path? Yes, you can, and Dale Arenson’s incredible journey attests to it.

After seven years of living on the edge as a member of Hangmen, of the most popular outlaw motorcycle clubs in the US, the young school dropout needs a radical change. His soul wants something else; as long as he can preserve his freedom to do what he loves, he is ready to give up the gun violence, wild rides, and loud parties.

Dale Arenson walks away from the only life he knows to embark on a path that many people would deem too hard to even think about it. He bounces back from his poor start in life, bad choices, and costly mistakes and builds an exceptional career in aviation as a commercial pilot.

"Better Lucky Than Good" is the gripping account of this journey. A natural storyteller, the author vividly depicts his unorthodox path from outlaw biker to construction worker and salesman and, finally, to his dream life and his incredible adventures that nearly got him killed. Wildly entertaining, the book will keep you at the edge of your seat while inspiring and motivating you to follow your dreams and forge your own path in life.

About the Author

Dale Arenson is a bestselling author of gripping memoirs inspired by his risky and unconventional life. A high-school dropout in sunny Southern California, he found the supportive family he always craved in the biker community. After many run-ins with the law and brushes with death as a member of the famous Hangmen Motorcycle Club, Arenson gave up his dangerous lifestyle and reinvented himself as a commercial pilot. An admirer of Plato, Hemingway, and Marcus Aurelius, Arenson is now taking his turn at writing books that entertain, inspire, and stand the test of time.

Anna Grace is trapped in an abusive marriage with a man she does not love, forced to live on a Maryland plantation far from her Philadelphia home. An innocent cobalt blue medicine bottle becomes her way to freedom and love.

Beth flees an abusive relationship, making a fresh start on the coast of the Chesapeake. She discovers a love for sea glass, finding shards along the bay shorelines. With the discovery, she'll find a piece of a rare cobalt blue poison bottle that will lead her to unexpected love.

Both women will find their courage and the love they deserve, both tied to the simple cobalt blue bottle through time and tides.

A whisper from our soul lives on everything we touch, whether it is good or something more sinister. A tiny blue bottle changes the lives of all those who touch it, and its shards travel through time and tides to touch other lives and other loves through murder, adventure, love, and sea glass.

Review
For me, the most powerful part of this book was the growth in the characters. Two people who think they are broken figure out they aren’t broken but are stronger than they thought.
The sea glass and what we learn about that was fascinating.
Overall, it was sweet, romance and ended with me feeling all kinds of emotions in the end. I am happy that I had been able to spend time with these fantastic characters.

Never forget…

In September 2001, Tris Miles faces difficult choices. As Chief Pilot of Westin Charter Company, she’s mentoring Jannat, a brash young captain with limitless potential and a shocking secret. An offer to summit the peak of the pilot pyramid entices Tris to quit her job, but an old nemesis stands in her way.

Meanwhile, Tris juggles the men in her personal life. A friend-with-benefits pushes for commitment. An ex-boyfriend returns, still in love with her. Unexpectedly, Tris develops new feelings for someone who is already dear to her.

On September 11th, Tris and her crew depart Edinburgh for the United States. Just feet off the ground, they are mysteriously ordered back to the airport where they learn of a deadly terrorist attack on U.S. soil—using airplanes as bombs.

When Tris discovers that her best friend was a passenger on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center, her world is shattered.

With a broken heart and her entire life up in the air, Tris doesn’t know where to turn. Can she find the courage to navigate her way home?

Review
Such a great read. It can be emotional as it deals with a period in history that was difficult for so many and our country as a whole, but I really enjoyed the way the author approached it.
A powerful read that will really touch you. These characters were so wonderful to follow. Determined and so strong and focused. Great role models.
R.D. Kardon is a master storyteller, and I love everything that I have read of hers!

Review
If you like paranormal romance, MC romance, and good solid world-building with strong snarky females and even stronger Alpha males this book is for you.

When you pick it up, be prepared to not put it down until it is over. Raw, Gritty, Powerful, Compelling and Sexy.

About the Author

I began reading my mom’s Harlequin Presents in the fifth grade, and from the first story I knew I wanted to write romance novels. Love is the most powerful emtion we can experience, and I adore happy ever afters. I write about the very ordinary woman thrust into an extraordinary circumstance, so my heroines will probably never be lawyers, doctors or corporate highrollers.  I try to write characters who aren't cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. My characters are real, complex and full of flaws, heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.

About the Author

Nick Haritatos is a successful entrepreneur, soccer player, pilot, and devoted family man whose life experience has spanned four countries on three continents. From his humble beginnings in war-torn Greece to southern Africa, Haritatos began a remarkable journey to success, buying his first business at sixteen and creating a portfolio of successful companies in Rhodesia, South Africa, and the United States.

Buffeted by winds of sweeping changes, Nick pledged to make his own destiny, regardless of any obstacles. He lived a life of adventure set amidst mud huts and dirt roads in tribal lands in Africa, harrowing days of the Rhodesian Bush War, numerous board rooms, international trips to over forty countries, and one-of-a-kind ocean view homes.

His business career stretches across twenty-three companies and over fifty years in manufacturing, retail, service, and commercial, retail and residential real estate. With a knack for spotting untapped potential in businesses and people, Nick treasures his vast network of friends as intensely as his financial success. He loves to celebrate life with music and dancing whenever possible.

Early on, Nick developed a unique and flexible lifestyle model that allowed him to oversee multiple businesses simultaneously while devoting plenty of time to his wife and children. With his decision to create his own destiny, Nick maintains control over his life and his future even under challenging circumstances, when most others followed tradition.  His motto is “I make events. Events don’t make me.”

An avid athlete, Nick has played and coached soccer for most of his life. Nick has team members who’ve played soccer with him for nearly twenty five years in San Diego. As of the writing of this book, he’s played in more than 2,500 matches, as well as completed several marathons. He plans to be playing soccer when he is eighty years old and beyond.

Outside of his family, one of his proudest achievements was hiking the 1,200-mile California Coastal Trail.

Today Nick uses his considerable business and life experience to mentor and inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders, when he isn’t on the soccer field or planning his next walk.

Nick is available to speak to groups interested in business and personal success. For more information on his speaking and mentoring work, visit his website at www.nolimitsbynick.com
