"I would advise you, young man, to take care around anyone with the
surname Firefax. I know not if the rumors be true that they be king killers,
but they are, without any doubt, a dangerous family."
Legend tells of a city of gold on a phantom island. The wealth of that city
could end the American Revolution. But the only person who knows the
island’s location is the world’s deadliest assassin. And
he’s not giving up that secret without a fight . . .
1781. New England.
The world’s oldest family of high-profile assassins, the Firefaxes,
have been killing off dignitaries—and being well-compensated to do
so—for centuries. The family is thrown into turmoil by their
patriarch’s death and the return of their cunning, cruel prodigal,
Murdoch. Murdoch is the only one left who knows where the Firefax wealth is,
kept on a secret island. But Murdoch’s former protégé,
now turned nemesis, Istäni, who is the leader of a British intelligence
network, and Murdoch’s former colleagues from a Continental
intelligence network are looking for that wealth. These spy networks are
bent on tracking down the legendary treasure, whatever the cost, but may
have met their match in this wily, dysfunctional family of killers.

About the Author
Linda Luchtman is a debut author from the Netherlands. During the COVID-19
pandemic in 2020, which was a hard time for many people emotionally and
mentally, the story of Sitou was born, but the author put it aside to write
"The Bum Biter," a sweet little book for toddlers that was only
released in her private circle in the Netherlands but will be available on
Amazon later this year.
It wasn't until her daughter, Lara, struggled with anxiety in 2023 that the
author revisited the story of Sitou. She knew it was the perfect way to help
her daughter, and it did just that. Now, Linda is on a mission to share the
story to help kids and adolescents with their emotional well-being. Next to
this, she has made several assignments to go along with Sitou's story to
help readers connect Sitou's journey to their lives. This makes it a more
interactive and meaningful experience.
Linda is not only an expert in writing. She is also an expert in
instructional design and using neuroscience to create effective classrooms.
She has a Master's degree in this field and has helped many teachers and
trainers in universities, vocational training, and businesses. She is a
certified coach and is currently seeing her first coaching clients.

Two photographs taken on a spring evening in 1950 that seem to show the
impossible-we are not alone. A thirteen-year-old girl disappears the same
evening, but returns thirty years later without aging a day. A dying
detective on the hunt for the answers to one mystery falls afoul of a more
profound mystery that calls into question all of human history and the
science on which the universe is based. McMinnville is the story of one
man's coming to terms with his mortality and the inconceivable, while
falling in love for a second time, something he thought was
impossible.
Ray Baker is a retired NYPD detective, dying of cancer and dealing with the
crushing loneliness after the death of his wife. He wants to make the last
few months of his life count by traveling cross country to the places where
he grew up. Along the way, he stumbles upon a cold case that took place on
May 11, 1950, a few hundred yards from his childhood farm outside of
McMinnville, Oregon. At a little past seven in the evening on that day,
Evelyn Forsyth was feeding her rabbits when she looked up to see a craft
floating soundlessly toward her. She called for her husband, Glenn, to come
with his camera. Over a span of a few seconds, he took two photographs
before the craft tipped up on edge and sped away. That was the story that
appeared in the Telephone Register, McMinnville's local paper under the
heading "At Long Last-Authentic Photographs Of Flying Saucer[?]" A
month later, the photographs were featured in the June edition of Life
Magazine. Were they real or a clever hoax? Ray takes it upon himself to
answer this question, applying his considerable detective skills. But in
doing so, he steps through the looking glass into a world that makes him
question everything. If that was not enough, he also discovers that there is
a clock and it is ticking down.
McMinnville is the first book in a trilogy that follows Ray Baker's pursuit
of life, love, and the truth, which is most definitely out there.
Review
This is a great story of a world that this author pulled from imagination and brought to life through this reader.
Particularly well written. This book totally absorbed me and I had to keep on reading. There was also a lot of adventure.
The characters are well-developed and realistic enough that I became quite attached to them.
Great read.

From the Sphinx communicating through a Ouija board to Narcissus's
traditional, terrible fate morphing into his first glimmer of hope, Tales of
a Spiritual Sun re-writes the Greek myths as never before. The tales of the
familiar are tackled, such as the stories of Medusa, King Midas, and
Pandora. Yet, Tales of a Spiritual Sun also includes those that are,
perhaps, less well known such as Orpheus, Proteus, and Psyche.
All the stories are viewed from new angles or written with modern twists.
They take on new lives, with fresh locations and messages at their heart.
These include a scientific experiment ready to change the world on the night
it is set to end and a personal detective who must decide if a man, claiming
his wife is a nymph, is delusional or about to commit an awful crime.
Tales of a Spiritual Sun allows readers to discover ancient myths in a bold
and original way, in both contemporary and traditional settings.
